Living on the Edge: The Idiot traverses one of many cliffs on the Mediterranean seaside. This one is near Scilla, Italy, which is believed to be the home of the six-headed monster that ate members of Odysseus’ crew.

Joel Stratte-McClure has been a global trekker since the 1970s.
