Getting Goosed

Impressed that a gaggle of geese in Northern California are smart enough to get in the shade when the temperature goes north of 100 °F.

But why, The Idiot wonders, aren’t they smart enough to float on the Sacramento River where the water temp is a refreshing 52 °F?
