The Idiot will address elite senior classes at Gainesville High School in mid-April after a video announcing cancellation of his popular lecture series pertaining to “The Idiot and the Odyssey” books led to campus-wide student protests.
The video (http://youtu.be/h8N9zlm1xTk) was produced when The Idiot learned that he would be arrested if he showed up on the Florida campus buck naked smoking a gigantic joint.

GHS seniors appeal to The Idiot to “come sign our copies so we can make some cash.”

The Idiot quickly accepted student appeals that he reverse a decision and make an appearance. Who could refuse pleas like this one from Tom Fraleigh:

Tom Fraleigh’s father said The Idiot’s video was “far out.”

Tom’s post read:

“I am a senior at Gainesville High School, in Mr. Owens’ third period. I would like to express my disappointment in your inability to visit us. Considering that I am in perhaps my most formative years, meeting someone of your literary stature may change my live forever. Please consider a brief visit to our school this year, as one cannot imagine such a storied tradition being broken.

What Idiot would refuse appeals like these? Not me.

Tess Gretter wrote that “we are on our knees, tears on our faces, desperate for you to fulfill your promise and not crush our hopes” while Tyler Rice offered “to come retrieve you in a Cessna 150 for you to visit us at Gainesville High School.”

Tyler Rice offered to give The Idiot a lift to Florida in a Cessna 150.

Negotiations are underway with school authorities and students regarding The Idiot’s attire and props during five separate presentations.
