The Idiot has been supporting various hospitals, schools and causes concerning Tibet since he first visited the Himalaya, and met Tibetan refugees in India’s Kulu Valley, in 1979. He met with Tibetan representatives in Paris in 1996 and visited Tibet, and attempted to irritate the Chinese invaders by displaying “illegal” photos of the Dalai Lama, in 2010.

The Idiot at the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet in July 2010. This was the chief residence of the 14th Dalai Lama, with whom The Idiot studied on a retreat at a Tibetan lamasery in southern France in 2000, until he fled to India during the 1959 Tibetan uprising.
