What Signs Does The Idiot Find At A Northern California Peace Labyrinth?

The Idiot frequently visits a Peace Labyrinth while walking a six-mile segment of the Sacramento River Trail in Redding, CA. Like other visitors, he frequently leaves a painted stone to both lengthen the ever-expanding circular path and convey a mindful message.

Arriving at the Peace Labyrinth with eyes wide open, walking it with eyes wide shut.

Here are some of the stone(d) signs that The Idiot spotted, including one that he left two years ago and one dropped off by someone else this month, during a slow late-morning January stroll through the labyrinth:

One of the first rocks The Idiot sees in the labyrinth gives him some serious guidance about the path ahead.

One of the first rocks The Idiot sees in the labyrinth offers some serious guidance about the path ahead: Lead Me Not Into Temptation.

The second rock he sees contains a cosmic message.

The second rock has a cosmic message: Don’t Tell Me The Sky Is The Limit When The Stars Are Up Above.

A third rock reminds The Idiot not to get carried away by what he's reading.

A third rock reminds The Idiot not to get carried away by what he’s reading because Nothing Is Written In Stone.

A colorful rock that The Idiot left two years ago has had part of the "L" knocked out of it.

A colorful rock that The Idiot left two years ago has had part of the “L” knocked out of LOVE.

Most messages are simple and to the point.

One of the shorter messages on the Peace Labyrinth path.

One of the shorter messages on the Peace Labyrinth path: PRAY.

But almost every stone speaks words of encouragement or instruction.

But almost every stone speaks words of encouragement or instruction: LIVE LOVE.

Longer messages convey equally simple truths.

Gratitude.

Gratitude: I Give Thanks. I Remember. I Am Grateful.

Love and Light.

Love and Light: Darkness Cannot Exist Where There Is…Light…Love.

Live in the moment.

Live in the now: Every Moment Is Unique, Unknown, Completely Fresh.

Ever Omward.
