Idiot-ic Designs

Designs and illustrations in the eBook versions of “The Idiot and the Odyssey II: Myth, Madness and Magic on the Mediterranean“ go beyond sexy photographs, seductive interactive maps, original navigational icons and an inviting eye-friendly layout.

More than iconic chapters and maps.

There are blatant and subtle design touches throughout “The Idiot II” that create a relaxing, pleasant and enriching reading experience. Lists — like the twelve tasks that Circe asks The Idiot to accomplish on his MedTrek or the reasons “Why Sicilian Guys Are The Most Macho Men On Earth” — are presented with dramatic flair and an azure tint.

The design of other Idiot-ic lists — like the answers to questions posed by readers of the www.followtheidiot.com blog or the winners and losers of an Easter day contest in Crete — are amusing in look and content.

The design flair and fun continues until the end of book where the reader learns where The Idiot is heading and gets “Twelve Commonsense Tips For Mindful MedTrekking.”

The next 4,401 kilometers are covered in the gods-filled sequel, "The Idiot and the Odyssey II: Myth, Madness and Magic on the Mediterranean,” published on Valentine's Day 2013.
