Why Did The Idiot Abandon The Pyramids And Monuments In Egypt For The Pyramid And Monuments In Paris?

The Idiot, after MedTrekking across Egypt to the Libya border and consulting with the revered Oracle of Amun at the Siwa Oasis, flew from Cairo to Paris to get a real taste of spring on his return to California.

In just a few hours, the pyramids and monuments in Egypt were seamlessly replaced with the pyramid and monuments in France.

The Idiot left the pyramids in Cairo…

…and the monumental statues of Ramses II at Abu Simblel…

…Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

The Idiot, who lived in Paris for over ten years, also pleasantly replaced his walk on the Mediterranean Sea with daily strolls through Paris streets.

The first thing he did, after lighting a candle on behalf of all sentient beings,…

The Idiot lit candles at Église Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre (Church of Saint Julian the Poor) to kick off his week in Paris.

…was look for signs of spring during visits to…

…the gardens at the French Senate…

…the blossoming park at Notre Dame Cathedral…

…and the walking street on the Seine.

The Idiot always enjoys revisiting well-known spots like…

…Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris with its equestrian statue of Henri IV, and more contemporary locks left by lovers…

…the statue of Denis Diderot in Saint-Germain-des-Prés…

…Eglise Saint-Étienne-du-Mont on Montagne Sainte-Geneviève near the Panthéon…

…the Métro de Paris…

…the Seine, the bridges and the Conciergerie on Île de la Cité during sunset,…

…Notre Dame during the day,…

…and night, and…

…Luxembourg Gardens, where he takes the opportunity to relax on a chair and talk to pigeons.

Naturally he always stumbles upon new sights like…

…a couple posing for wedding photos underneath the Pont de l’Alma…

…horses being serenely ridden around Île Saint-Louis and…

…the Mallet-Stevens buildings in the 16th arrondissement.

And there’s always French food beginning with…

…breakfast at the Brasserie Balzar near the Sorbonne…

…lunch at La Rôtisserie d’Argent on Quai de la Tournelle,…

…lunch at the Pavillon de la Fontaine in Luxembourg Gardens with friends he’s known since 1970…

…to celebrate Jade Moisan’s 14th birthday and…
