Drive 20 miles north of Eureka, CA, on the first Saturday of the month. The lighthouse, which is usually behind a locked gate and not visible to hikers, is open from 10 a.m. to noon and you’ll learn about The Wave.
It was too foggy to see much this morning (August 5) but the foghorn just offshore was hard at work.
