Enjoying a reflective stroll on the waterfront boardwalk in Eureka, CA, before a calming reflexology session in the quaint historic downtown.
Besides the picturesque boardwalk and Chinese reflexologist, Eureka’s old downtown featured a classic car exhibit (the buzz was that Jay Leno was shopping) and a farmers’ market with all the Humboldt County goodies that you can imagine.

The next 4,401 kilometers are covered in the gods-filled sequel, "The Idiot and the Odyssey II: Myth, Madness and Magic on the Mediterranean,” published on Valentine's Day 2013.
