The Idiot met a wide variety of people when he followed the footsteps of Alexander the Great south of the Mediterranean Sea to the Siwa Oasis in the Sahara Desert near the Libya border.
The first person The Idiot met in Siwa was Khaled Maraki at the Albabenshal Hotel. Khaled became The Idiot’s “fixer” during his week in Siwa.
The Idiot watched Robynn Iwata observe the equinox sunrise from the Timasirayn Temple outside Siwa.
The Idiot constantly had this Siwan make him fresh sugar cane juice .
The Idiot met Monika Sleszynska, whom he nicknamed “The Woman in the Headscarf,” in the Temple of the Oracle in Siwa.
The idiot climbed the Adrere Amella mountain with Italian journalist and filmmaker Ines Della Valle.
