Picnic Chair

Enjoying a Sunday picnic in the Northern California summer heat because of a comfortable and sophisticated chair presented to him by the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Idiot thrived during a Sacramento River-side picnic on Sunday because of his fold-into-a-backpack picnic chair that features a ribbed padded seat and backrest, glass holder, side table, insulated cooler, shelves and other comforts.

The Idiot, who sported a Follow the Idiot cap at a Sunday picnic, sometimes carries his comfy picnic chair as a backpack on camping trips. The chair was a gift from the Alzheimer’s Association after The Idiot and the Odyssey trilogy of travel books sponsored a Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Redding, California.

Joel Stratte-McClure has been a global trekker since the 1970s.
