The Idiot is on a retreat in Patmos, Greece, until he resumes the MedTrek in Antalya on May 28 where, alas, he’ll bid adieu to the Lycia Way. The 500-plus kilometer blazed mountain-and-seaside hiking path that meanders from Fethiye to Antalya, Turkey, is a highly recommended delight and here a few parting memories.
Adieu Kabak.
Adieu Bel.
Adieu Kalkan.
Adieu Kas.
Adieu Kekova.
Adieu Cirali.
Adieu Phasalis.
Adieu Kemer.
Adieu Lycia Way. Hello Antalya.

The next 4,401 kilometers are covered in the gods-filled sequel, "The Idiot and the Odyssey II: Myth, Madness and Magic on the Mediterranean,” published on Valentine's Day 2013.
