Baby Gaga, The Idiot’s 4.89-year-old granddaughter, and Baby Gogo, The Idiot’s 2.25-year-old grandson, insisted that he visit them on the French Riviera for his 74th birthday on July 31. The duo are vacationing in southern France after leaving the United States to resume their education in Paris in September.
The Idiot, between visits to Los Angeles and Paris, was confronted with two weeks when the temperature regularly exceeded 100°F in Redding, CA. Not surprisingly he moved his basecamp to the shores of the Pacific Ocean where mid-July temps were usually below 70°F.
Baby Gaga, The Idiot’s 4.8-year-old granddaughter, and Baby Gogo, The Idiot’s 2.17-year-old grandson, began their odyssey from Los Angeles to Paris this morning via Montreal, Vermont, New York and the south of France.

No more. Both the cultural and the culinary treasure are shrouded in scaffolding and closed to the public. One because of fire, the other due to a massive reconstruction project.
The Idiot, who is preparing to write The Idiot and the Odyssey IV: Walking Beyond the Mediterranean Sea, dropped into Los Angeles for his grandson Baby Gogo’s second birthday in early May.
