The Idiot, who has hired author/chef Martha Shulman to prepare an exquisite meal celebrating the conclusion of his twenty-year walk around the Mediterranean Sea in Los Angeles next weekend, decided to make a quick trip to France to pick up a few tasty side dishes (think confit de canard, escargots à la Caudéranaise, les cèpes de Bordeaux, noisettines du Medoc and truffles).
