The Idiot returned from a week with his family on the expansive, almost pandemic-free Pacific Ocean in Central California to resume social distancing, mask wearing and taking other sensible steps and precautions to avoid COVID-19.
The Idiot, after spending four months within the Redding (CA) city limits due to the pandemic, spent his 72nd summer solstice with his new grandson, Baby Gogo (born May 3), his 2.75-year-old granddaughter Baby Gaga and their parents Luke and Sam in Morro Bay on the Pacific Ocean just south of Big Sur. Here are some of the things they did on the longest day of 2020.
“The Idiot and the Odyssey” television documentary, which has been postponed due to the pandemic, was to have used the following photos to promote episodes highlighting the most dangerous, exciting and scandalous encounters during the riveting 20-year MedTrek.
This morning The Idiot, who has been walking solo 7-14 miles a day in Northern California since the Ides of March to cope with the pandemic lockdown, wondered where he was MedTrekking a decade ago. The Idiot, who has been taking daily 7-14-mile walks since the pandemic lockdown began over two months ago, doesn’t just see the pastoral and picturesque in Redding, California. He also, on almost every outing, sees and speaks to the many members of the unhoused community who permanently live outdoors.
Baby Gaga, The Idiot’s now-2.67-year-old granddaughter, told a TSA agent when she caught a flight in December that “I’m going to be a big sister.” She was telling the truth.
