The Idiot could easily have hiked across the Golden Gate bridge into nearby San Francisco after giving a talk at the Sausalito Library about the Monaco royal family while referring to The Idiot and the Odyssey trilogy of travel narratives describing his 20-year walk around the Mediterranean Sea.
