Kicking off a week in Los Angeles with a loaf of whole wheat sesame bread from Tartine Bakery in DTLA.
The Idiot, who thinks Tartine’s bread is the best in California, carries his own premium virgin olive oil (from the Durant Olive Farm in Oregon) with him when he travels and flavors it with salt (from the Camargue in France) and a sprinkling of Tellicherry peppercorns (from India’s Malabar coast).
The Idiot has long been convinced that “man shall not live by bread alone, but by Tartine bread, Oregon olive oil, French salt and Indian pepper.”
