Sending another Idiot-ic entry to the contest looking for the weirdest location to find a Christmas tree in the U.S.
This not-all-that-attracive Christmas tree off the freeway between Redding and Red Bluff, CA, has been “decorated” annually for 42 years.
“It’s not an especially pretty tree,” a Christmas tree critic wrote over a decade ago. “In fact, some might say it’s a downright wicked-looking tree.”
But locals love it in an “Ugly Duckling” kinda way.
“I hope it brings a lot of joy to people,” said the man who’s been decorating the tree in memory of a deceased friend. “We’ll keep on doing this for as long as we live here.”
