Reprimanded at the British Museum in London for bowing to, and polishing, this marble bust of Homer, the supposed author of the Iliad and Odyssey poems and one of the Idiot’s main literary muses.
The Idiot, returning to California to complete The Idiot and the Odyssey III: Twenty Years Walking the Mediterranean, was almost kicked out of the British Museum in London for getting too up close and personal with Homer, the poet considered the author of the Odyssey, the world’s first travel narrative, and the Iliad., the first poem dealing with war, tragedy, friendship, grief, honor, drama, and existence itself.
