The Idiot hiked more than 35-kilometers (22 miles) on the GR1 around Paris and climbed Table Mountain in South Africa on two separate days this week to prepare for his sponsored walk around Queensland, Australia, to promote participation in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics by athletes over 75.
The Idiot hiked over 35-kilometers solo on the 600-kilometer GR1 that encircles Paris on February 17.

The Idiot climbed over 18 kilometers up and down Table Mountain in Cape Town with three South African women on February 11.
The hike on the GR1 around Paris, on a sunny Saturday, was much flatter than the climb up Table Mountain.

The GR1 around Paris is easily followed by keeping an eye out for the white-over-red markings.

The Idiot was relieved to end his 35-kilometer walk on the GR1 on February 17 at the church in Boutigny as he approached Fontainebleau on his leisurely stroll.
The Idiot was relieved to see a sunset over the Atlantic Ocean when he descended from the hike up Table Mountain.
