The Idiot and his son Luke spent a few minutes at the Kennedy Memorial Plaque west of Redding, CA, briefing President John F. Kennedy on the current US presidential race. The Idiot was at Whiskeytown Dam on September 28, 1963, when JFK gave a speech that embraced water conservation and called Whiskeytown “an investment in our future.”

Joel Stratte-McClure has been a global trekker since the 1970s.
