Lifeguarding

Wondering if it’s smarter for a lifeguard to read or text when there are people swimming in the pool in Redding,  California?

The unidentified lifeguard didn’t put her book down during the 45 minutes that The Idiot observed her from in and out of the pool. There were four other swimmers in the water while she read.

The lifeguard was too absorbed in her too-good-to-put-down book to notice The Idiot taking her photograph.

It’s unfortunate that the lifeguard was too engrossed in her book to read the signs relating to “Safe Pools Have Rules” and “Our Promise” at the pool in Redding, California.
