Bemused to watch Parisians flocking to the banks of the Seine River as though it is a refreshing mountain stream or a sandy Mediterranean beach.
Although the mayor of Paris promises Parisans that the Seine River will be clean enough to swim in by 2020, none of these sunbathers will be taking a swim today.
One person who did get to the bottom of the dirty river and live to tell about it was The Idiot in 1976.
The Idiot’s dive to the bottom of the Seine was the cover photo of an issue of “The Paris Metro” in 1976.
