Visiting Petaluma, California, to retrieve a contemporary depiction of an ancient Mediterranean amphora by celebrated artist Linda Goodman.
Linda Goodman’s depiction of a Mediterranean amphora, which she created in 1989, exactly fits the description of a vessel found off Sicily that’s described in The Idiot and the Odyssey trilogy of books chronicling The Idiot’s twenty-year walk around the Mediterranean Sea. The Idiot, who swam across the Hellespont during his MedTrek, is also one of the largest collectors of Goodman’s work featuring female swimmers.
