Debating whether a home that he’s evaluating on the Sacramento River in northern California actually has adequate access to the water.
The Idiot told a realtor that this is not quite what he had in mind when he asked to see a home with direct access to the Sacramento River in Redding, California.
The Idiot lived on the river as a kid and wrote his last three books — “The Idiot and the Odyssey II: Myth, Madness and Magic on the Mediterranean” (2013), “The Paris Metro 40th Anniversary Issue: The Book About Paris Yesterday” (2016), and “The Idiot and the Odyssey III: Twenty Years Walking the Mediterranean”(2018) — in a two-story townhouse with a river (and mountain) view.
