The Idiot, after a sunny stay in London, took his one-man, four-book promotional circus to below-freezing New England when he returned to the United States last week.

The four books that The Idiot has written during the past decade were greeted by snow and freezing temperatures in New England.

Yet the fact that he was in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont didn’t deter The Idiot from giving readings in places that sounded like they were in the Middle East.

The Idiot read the chapter in “The Idiot and the Odyssey III” entitled “Falling in Love in Lebanon” in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

The Idiot read the chapter in “The Idiot and the Odyssey III” entitled “Walking in Israel with the World’s Oldest MedTrekker and a Teenage Niece” on Jerusalem Road in Cohasset, Massachusetts.

The Idiot read the chapter in “The Idiot and the Odyssey III” entitled “A Nilistic Exploration of Egypt” at a rainy Egypt Beach in Scituate, Massachusetts.

The Idiot read the chapter in “The Idiot and the Odyssey II” entitled “Ode on a Cretan Urn” at the Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont.

The Idiot read the chapter in “The Idiot and the Odyssey I” entitled “Quick, Get Me to a Monastery!” to two kids on Church Street in Burlington, Vermont.

The Idiot read to a bilingual audience from “The Paris Metro 40th Anniversary Issue: The Book About Paris Yesterday” which promoted franglais in the 1970s.
Naturally The Idiot had a bit of trouble transitioning from Mediterranean climes to freezing temps in the northeastern USA.

The Idiot’s “Follow the Idiot” cap barely fit over a hoodie and a winter beanie.

“The Idiot and the Odyssey III: Twenty Years Walking the Mediterranean” was blown off a covered bridge in Vermont during a promotional photo shoot.

The idiot left Burlington, Vermont, to continue his promotional book tour in Los Angeles next week.
