The buzz is that attendees at an Idiot speaking gig in Redding, California, on Saturday afternoon (March 2) will witness yoga headstands, walk through the world’s largest nudist colony, meet live eagles from Carthage, watch a looping slideshow that gives new meaning to travel photographs and hear about the genesis, evolution and execution of The Idiot’s twenty-year walk around the Mediterranean Sea.
And who knows what questions will be asked by interested readers in the audience?
It all happens at the Redding Public Library from 3-5 p.m. when The Idiot will have a Q&A session with Nancy Wiegman, the knowledgable and peripatetic host of NSPR’s “Nancy’s Bookshelf” who is also a long-time yoga teacher.

The next 4,401 kilometers are covered in the gods-filled sequel, "The Idiot and the Odyssey II: Myth, Madness and Magic on the Mediterranean,” published on Valentine's Day 2013.
