Celebrating, in The Idiot’s first-ever Throwback Thursday post, his appearance at the Woodstock (“Three Days of Peace & Music”) Festival fifty years ago today.
The Idiot was a reporter covering Woodstock (“Three Days of Peace & Music”) for The Burlington (VT) Free Press on the first day of the festival on August 15, 1969. The concert resulted in a front-page news story and a subsequent “think piece” column about the death of ‘60s hippiedom.
The Idiot threw a “33 Years Since Woodstock” party with 300 guests at his home on the French Riviera in 2002. He also attended a 40th anniversary conference with organizers of the iconic event, including Wavy Gravy, in Hollywood.
