The Idiot’s hand-washed shirts “feel” better when they dry in fresh spring air next to weathered Tibetan prayer flags brought back from Lhasa and hanging outside his Northern California base camp since 2010.

Joel Stratte-McClure has been a global trekker since the 1970s.
