Gaga About French Books

Thanking high school French teacher Tami Bennett for giving The Idiot dozens of children’s books in French for Baby Gaga, his 1.69-year-old trilingual granddaughter.

Shasta High School French teacher Tami Bennett — who manages the school’s French language program and is retiring this year before Shasta (which The Idiot attended in the 1960s) in Redding, California, gradually eliminates its French program (“Who needs French?” asked one enlightened school board member) — presents her stock of children’s books to The Idiot for Baby Gaga to read, cherish and share. Merci beaucoup!

Baby Gaga, The Idiot’s 1.69-year-old granddaughter, devours books like La Ferme and is delighted to be gifted with a library of French  books from Shasta High School, which is eliminating its French language program (“Who needs French?” asked one enlightened school board member).
