How Often Do YOU Wonder Where You Were On The 100th Day Of The Year (April 9) During The Past Decade?

Do you, like The Idiot, wonder where you were and what you were doing on the 100th day of the year (April 9) during the past decade?

Here’s where The Idiot’s been on this, and the past ten, April 9s.

April 9, 2008: Writing the “Tinseltown Spywitness” column for the “Los Angeles Daily News” at his home office in West Hollywood, California.

April 9, 2009: Taking a walk in New York’s Central Park en route to resume his walk around the Mediterranean Sea in Sicily.

April 9, 2010: Spending a couple weeks at the family home on the Pacific Ocean in Trinidad, California, to get away from the Mediterranean Sea.

April 9, 2011: Playing Scrabble with Anne Isaak in New York before attending a reunion at the Columbia School of Journalism. Then flying to London en route to a resumption of the MedTrek around Crete. (Check the date on the newspaper to assure yourself that this is not a bogus account)

April 9, 2012: Dropping into the now-defunct Leatherby’s in Redding, California, for a bite of ice cream.

April 9, 2012: “Planting” a stone at the Peace Labyrinth on the Sacramento River Trail in Redding, California.

April 9, 2013: Having dinner with his mother at the Riverview Country Club in Redding, California.

April 9, 2015: Having dinner with his mother (right) and Patricia Stubblefield at the Riverview Country Club in Redding, California.

April 9, 2016: Taking a brisk morning walk with family members in Burlington, Vermont.

April 9, 2017: Consulting Bigfoot in Weaverville, California.

April 9, 2018: Getting in a morning swim at the YMCA in Redding, California.

And what were you up to?

The next 4,401 kilometers are covered in the gods-filled sequel, "The Idiot and the Odyssey II: Myth, Madness and Magic on the Mediterranean,” published on Valentine's Day 2013. The last 4,401 kilometers will be discussed in the last book of the trilogy currently entitled "The Idiot and the Odyssey III: Alexander the Great Walks the Mediterranean."
