Penny Dreadful

Inadvertently walking onto the set of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels being shot on Zuma Beach in Malibu, California.

The Idiot became an extra extra cast member in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, set in 1938 Los Angeles, when he accidentally walked into a shoot of a sequel of the popular Showtime series on Zuma Beach in Malibu, CA. The third season of the original horror drama, set in Victorian London, ended in 2016.

The Idiot wasn’t aware that he was walking into a shoot of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, a sequel to Showtime’s original supernatural series, until he noticed that everyone was wearing bathing costumes from the 1930s.
The writer and cast of the original Penny Dreadful have regrouped to shoot an eight-episode spin-off series set in Los Angeles and influenced by Mexican-American folklore and the devil-worshipping deity Santa Muerte.
