Why does The Idiot decorate his St. Patrick’s Day cards with shamrocks?
Because the shamrock, a three-leafed clover native to Ireland and the country’s national emblem, was allegedly used by St. Patrick, who died on March 17 in 460, to illustrate the doctrine of the Trinity.
He’ll spend tomorrow baking Irish soda bread.
