The Idiot has now MedTrekked 10,050 kilometers around the Mediterranean Sea and recently received some advice from trusted sources in southern Turkey about how to proceed to the border with Syria — and beyond.
The Idiot got some details about the next stage of the MedTrek from Alexander the Great at the Antalya Museum.
After that he consulted the gods at the Temple of Apollo in Side.
Then he meditated in Belek and forgot about the number of kilometers to the Syrian border.
One result of these consultations was the creation of a “Syria Promo” video to illustrate how he MedTrekked over 10,000 kilometers and extend an invite to Idiot-ic followers to join him on the path into Syria. If you’d like to come along, you can join The Idiot at the Gazipasa Airport on September 17 or start MedTrekking with him later that day in Uçari, which is 38 kilometers northwest of Anamur, the southernmost town in Turkey.
The Gazipasa airport is less than fifty kilometers from touristic Alanya.
The next stint of mountainous MedTrekking is on this type of terrain.
After about 350 kilometers of MedTrekking, the Turkish coast will become Syrian sand.
