What Cover Has The Idiot Chosen For “The Idiot and the Odyssey III”?

The cover design chosen for the third book in The Idiot’s trilogy about his twenty-year walk around the Mediterranean Sea echoed the popular vote on his blog and Facebook pages.

Although it will be slightly modified, here’s what the cover of The Idiot and the Odyssey III: Twenty Years Walking the Mediterranean looks like at the moment.

The front and back covers of The Idiot and the Odyssey III: Twenty Years Walking the Mediterranean combine photographs of The Idiot walking on the seaside in Turkey and being crowned The Idiot Emperor of Carthage in Tunisia with a stretch of seaside in Cyprus. The azure lettering reflects the various colors of the water in the Mediterranean Sea.

The decision regarding the cover photographs wasn’t made until designer Aaron Patterson looked at over forty photographs of The Idiot walking on the shores of the Mediterranean and evaluated scores of The Idiot’s shots of the seaside.

Dozens of photographs of the Mediterranean seaside were considered to portray the sea scene on the back cover.

This stretch of seaside in Cyprus, where The Idiot MedTrekked in the spring of 2015, was chosen as the photo for the back cover of The Idiot and the Odyssey III: Twenty Years Walking the Mediterranean.
