Why Was The Idiot Compelled To Hike At Least 73 Miles This Week?

Where and why did The Idiot hike more than 73 miles during the last week in July?

On the Pacific Ocean in Northern California in observation of his 73rd birthday.

Take a look at the exciting places he walked, and some of the novelties he observed, and don’t worry too much about his physical or mental state.

He also had time to sweat in a sauna, soak in a hot tub, chill during a massage, eat a birthday cupcake on the trail, play video poker at the casino, meditate above the ocean, pick up litter and feast on a delish salmon dinner before watching the sun set, blowing out the candles and playing with fire in the fog at his squat in Trinidad, CA.

The Idiot did a lot of walking on the Pacific Ocean shoreline.

The Idiot’s longest day outing (19.5 miles) included the 16.4-mile round-trip hike to the Tall Trees Grove on the Redwood Creek Trail near Orick, CA.

The Idiot took advantage of a supermoon super-low tide to make the slippery walk out to Camel Rock south of Trinidad, CA..

Camel Rock is inaccessible to The Idiot and other walkers most of the time.

The Idiot’s imagination went wild when he wondered what unfortunate person “lost” both a single sandal and a sole high heel at the same time in the same place south of Trinidad, CA.  How? Why? What happened before and after?

The Idiot did a lot of meditative walking on Pacific Ocean beaches.
