Will The Idiot Hike North Or South Of Boston If He Walks Around The Atlantic Ocean?

The Idiot, who due to an injury will not be able to return to Gaza and Egypt until November to resume his walk around the Mediterranean Sea, is evaluating the possibility of hiking around the Atlantic Ocean.

That project, which will not begin until he’s completed his circumnavigation of the Mediterranean in 2018, will be launched in Boston, Massachusetts. The Idiot’s first decision will be whether to commence the walk by heading north or south of Boston.

This week he got a sample of the South Shore, from Boston to Scituate Harbor, to evaluate the pros and cons of heading in that direction.

He set up a base camp on Nantasket Beach in Hull, MA, and here’s what he found in mid-to-late April:

The Idiot enjoyed strolling on Jerusalem Road in Cohasset, MA, because it vaguely reminded him of his MedTrek down the coast of Israel in October 2015.

The Idiot ended his trek south of Boston when he arrived in pleasant, welcoming and historic Scituate Harbor.

The Idiot concluded his research on Boston’s South Shore with a feast of naked calamari at Jake’s Seafood Restaurant in Hull, MA.

The next 4,401 kilometers are covered in the gods-filled sequel, "The Idiot and the Odyssey II: Myth, Madness and Magic on the Mediterranean,” published on Valentine's Day 2013.
